GIRASOL is such a soft, soothing stone. As I write about in the book, quartzes have a turbo-boosting quality to them. But in girasol quartz, this energy is softened. Instead of forming in points, this quartz is formed as rough chunks, like rose quartz. And when polished, the soft milkiness is revealed to your eyes.
This softness and lack of physical pointedness to this crystal makes this quartz a more soothing stone. Like other quartzes, it facilitates generation of energy, but in a far more gentle way. So I like to describe this stone as being a “contrast reducer”. It lifts energy, but softly with a feathery feel. It strengthens energy by making it smoother to interact with. So for those of you who already have been actively working on grounding themselves, this would then be the next layer of energy to work on.
My favorite way to work with this stone is to put it in my bathwater with a polished hematite and sea salt at the end of a long day. This is an especially wonderful practice to do to release stresses from being in quarantine. The hematite energize the water with it’s grounding energies, while the girasol infuses the bathwater with a softening energy. The girasol helps pull out the “rough” bits of your energy into the water, while the hematite brings you the steadiness of being grounded. Then after getting out of the bath, you can visualize the old, tired energy being pulled down the drain with the bathwater.
Due to it being a unique piece of natural art from Mother Earth, each crystal will vary in shape, size, and actual weight. Sample weight of this crystal is following:
