If I could only give you only one piece of advice about working with crystals, it would be to work with hematite! Because if you are working with other crystals but not working with HEMATITE, you are short-changing yourself!!!

No stone is more elemental in helping you ground than hematite!

While I consider BOTRYOIDAL HEMATITE to be the best all-purpose form of hematite to work with (and still the hematite I definitely recommend you work with), sometimes one needs the more exuberant member to introduce you to the energy of the family. SPECULAR HEMATITE is that member of the hematite family.

These hematites are cut into slabs and are great being used as coasters to charge clear glasses of water with hematite energy. The larger slabs that can be used as altar stones or foundations for crystal grids.

I find hematite so useful at work that I keep both a hematite specimen and a coaster sized SPECULAR HEMATITE slab on my desk to charge my glass of water.
